FAQ's

The Status Configuration module allows the admin to define and manage the various stages of a booking or delivery from the driver’s perspective—from pickup to delivery completion, including optional actions like cancellation.

By default, the system includes statuses like:

  • Scheduled
  • Pickup Started
  • Driver En Route
  • Arrived at Pickup
  • Pickup Complete
  • Delivery Started
  • Arrived at Drop-off

Completed
Each of these can be renamed, edited, or reordered based on your operational workflow.

Yes. You can add new statuses, edit existing ones, or even disable a status if it’s not needed. This gives you full flexibility to customize the booking/delivery lifecycle.

Admins can configure:

  • A cancellation time window (e.g., 20 seconds after status update)
  • Whether the cancellation option is available at a certain stage
  • If a cancellation charge applies (e.g., 2% of total fare)

Whether the charge is deducted from the driver’s fare
This ensures fair cancellation policies and smooth handling of ride/order interruptions.

Yes. You can define a time-based restriction—for example, the driver can only cancel within 20 seconds after a certain status is triggered. Beyond this window, the cancellation button will be disabled.

Yes. The admin can enable or disable email notifications using a toggle switch. When enabled, the driver will automatically receive an email if a cancellation is initiated or processed.

Yes. The admin can define whether the cancellation charges are deducted from the driver’s payout or from the customer’s refundable amount, depending on the business model and fairness logic.

Yes. As the driver progresses through the journey, the system will display the appropriate status in real time on their app, ensuring a smooth and guided flow.

Yes. Once a new status is added and saved in the admin panel, it becomes immediately available in the driver’s app, depending on where it’s placed in the flow.

While the status module primarily handles visibility and workflow, integration with other modules (like fare calculation or notification services) can be enabled through backend configuration. Please consult with the development team for automation or trigger-based actions.

By default, statuses are platform-wide. However, if your business offers multiple services (e.g., delivery, ride-hailing), custom workflows per service can be configured if supported by your platform architecture.

This particular module focuses on driver-side statuses. A separate status flow (if needed) can be configured for users to track their order or ride from their perspective.

Yes. You can reorder statuses to match your desired operational flow. The system follows this sequence when guiding the driver through their tasks.

This depends on system setup. In most cases, manual updates by the driver are required for safety and accuracy. However, auto-updates based on GPS or time triggers can be enabled via custom development.
